What is a XVID-SUG file (a file with file extension XVID-SUG)?
Files that contain the .xvid-sug file extension are used for media files that are downloaded from the Internet (usually from P2P file sharing networks). The movies that are download with the .xvid-sug file extension can be renamed with the .avi file extension, allowing the movie to be played on a wide range of media players.
Oftentimes, as a movie is downloading from the Internet, the xvid-sug file extension will be given to the file name until the file has completed downloading. Once the file has completed downloading, the xvid-sug file extension will be removed and the proper file extension will be assigned to the file.
