What is a SPX file (a file with file extension SPX)?

Files that contain the .spx file extension are most commonly used by the Speex audio compression software. Speex is an open source freeware application that allows users to create compressed audio files with minimal loss of sound quality. The files that are created with this file format are saved with the .spx file extension.

The .spx file extension is also used by the FoxPro software application. These SPX files contain compiler screen program files that are created with the program.

The Screen Peace software also uses the .spx file suffix. These SPX files contain screen saver files that are created with the Screen Peace Software.
