What is a IIF file (a file with file extension IIF)?
IIF is an acronym for Intuit Interchange Format. Files that contain the .iif file extension are most commonly associated with the QuickBooks financial software that is distributed by Intuit.
The IIF files that are used by QuickBooks contain tab-deliminated financial data that is stored in a text-based format. The financial data contained in these IIF files can be exported into to other financial software and spreadsheet applications, making it easier for users to manage their financial data.
The .iif file extension is also used by the Shana Informed software program. These IIF files are filler files that are used by the software application.
