What is a DFD file (a file with file extension DFD)?

Files that contain the .dfd file extension are most commonly used for the dyadic function files that are created with the ABC programming language. This programming language was created as a user-friendly alternative to the BASIC programming language. The ABC programming language was created at CWI, Netherlands by Leo Geurts, Lambert Meertens, and Steven Pemberton.

The .dfd file extension is also used for by the Prosa data flow diagram software program. The software is used to create modelers of software designs and systems. The DFD files that are used by this software contain the graphic files that are utilized by the application.
