What is a DEL file (a file with file extension DEL)?
Files that contain the .del file extension are used by a number of software applications for a broad range of file formats.
The .del file extension is most commonly used by the PCTracker program. These DEL files are used for undelete tracking files. These files occur when a user deletes a tracking file and then undeletes the file at a later time.
The .del file extension is also used by the Creator software application. These DEL files contain simulator compiled module files.
The Apache Lucene software application also uses the .del file suffix. These DEL files contain deleted documents files that had been created with the Apache Lucene software.
