What is a CRTX file (a file with file extension CRTX)?
Files that contain the .crtx file extension are most commonly used for Microsoft Office software applications. Only versions 2007 or later use this file suffix.
The CRTX files that are associated with Microsoft Office contain chart template files that allow users to create default settings and layouts that may be applied across numerous Microsoft documents and presentations.
These files allow a user to assign the same "look and feel" to the documents and presentations without creating each file from scratch. Instead, they can simply choose the CRTX template they wish to use and fill in the blanks of the template they have opened.
